STEP 3: Download Plug-ins
Your instructors may include materials in WebCT courses that require certain browser
"plug-ins" or "readers." In order to access these materials, students may have
to download and install these objects onto the computer they use to access WebCT.
This download page has various plug-ins and readers.

Readers & Applications
Adobe Reader - Download and install to read Portable Document Format (.pdf) files.
PowerPoint Viewer 2007 - Download and install to view PowerPoint (.ppt, .pps and .pptx) presentations.
Excel 2003 Viewer: Spreadsheet Files - Download and install to view Excel (.xls) spreadsheets.
Word 97/2000 Viewer: Spreadsheet Files - Download and install to view Word (.doc) files.
Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats - Download and install to allow older versions of Microsoft Office to view the new XML based Office 2007 file formats (including .docx, pptx and xlsx).
Design Science MathPlayer Reader - Download and install to enable your web browser to recognize and display mathematical notations created with MathML.
OpenOffice.org - A free open source alternative to Microsoft Office. Supports basic Microsoft office formats such as .doc, .ppt and .xls and also the new open document format.
KeePass - A free way to save all of your usernames and passwords in a single password protected encypted file. As long as you can remember the one password you can retrieve all of your other usernames and passwords that you've entered into the database.

Flash - Download and install to play flash animations (.swf).Shockwave - Download and install to play shockwave animations (.dcr).
RealPlayer - Download and install to play video and music.
QuickTime - Download and install to play video and music.
Windows Media Player - Download and install to play video and music.

validated and supported for use with WebCT 4.1.
