What is your WebCT TA role?
The role of the Teaching Assistant for a WebCT course will vary from course to course.
Depending on your instructor, you may have "WebCT Designer" access, "WebCT TA"
access or "WebCT Student" access. For a description of each user access, read
WebCT User Types. To find out which access you have for a particular course:
- Log into your WebCT
- On your myWebCT page, look for the course that you are the TA for.
- Under the course title and below the instructor's name, you will see My Role. You will see whether you are a WebCT "Designer", "TA" or "Student" for that course.
- You can now choose the proper help resources.
- Go to Designer Resources if your role is Designer
- Go to Student Resources if your role is Student
- If your role is Teaching Assistant, you can:
- Manage student records (add or delete students, edit student information).
- Grade assignements and quizzes.
- Make full use of the communications tools (post to the discussion bulletin, send email with the Mail Tool)
- View all content -- even content with "Conditional" status (See ***Selective Release Criteria for Pages and Tools) -- posted by the instructor.
